I know I know! Where have I been!? 2019 was so crazy for me! I have tried several times to sit down and blog but I never got the chance to post for many reasons. On top of that, I also did not wear makeup for a good 70% of the year. I felt so uninspired and had no energy to play in makeup. I am so happy that feeling has finally subsided and I am finally back doing what I love and enjoy. Thank you for still supporting me even while I have been on this 7 month hiatus. My blog has still managed to grow and I am so thankful. I hope you all had a great 2019 and are having a beautiful holiday season. If you are still interested in my opinion on makeup, please keep reading for my review of the Dose of Colors Meet Your Hue Foundation & Concealer…

We all know the Tarte Shape Tape concealer took over the beauty community a few years ago and is still a favorite to many beauty lovers. I compare all of my concealers to Shape Tape because I love it that much. This concealer comes very close to it! The texture of this concealer is very similar to Shape Tape but just slightly thinner. I used a damp beauty sponge to blend it out and noticed immediately how full the coverage is. You need very little of this product to cover any of your trouble areas. I did try a brush to blend it out and the coverage was almost too much! I definitely prefer a beauty sponge over the brush because it dials back the intensity of the coverage. I set this concealer with some loose translucent powder.
Wear Test
I hate to admit this (because I feel like I am cheating on Shape Tape) but this concealer is just as good as Shape Tape. The coverage is amazing, it lasts for several hours, and looks flawless the entire time. The only negative I found in this concealer is the smell. Now, I know some people could care less what a product smells like but there are some who will not use a product because of the smell regardless of how good the product is. This concealer has a mild paint smell that disappears shortly after it has been applied to the face. I honestly did not notice it until I sat down to do this review. It personally does not bother me and I will definitely continue to use this, especially during the colder weather because the formula is thinner and not as matte as Shape Tape. If you are a die hard fan of Tarte Shape Tape like myself, please do yourself a favor and give this concealer a try.
Thank you so much for reading! Again, I want to thank you all for sticking with me during my hiatus. I have so many plans for my blog in the new year and I cannot wait to share them. Cheers to 2020!
